Born in Ecuador and raised in South Africa and the Philippines, I have been afforded a perspective that respects the diversity of thought and skills. Living a globally-nomadic life has had its challenges. Despite uncertainties, being a third-culture kid has immeasurably enriched my understanding of myself and others and has nurtured my ability to find connections among the dissimilar. I am currently studying in Manila, Philippines, where poverty and hardships in people's lives are very prevalent. Being exposed to such a perspective has allowed me to create designs in a more inclusive manner.
